Some jobs do not need a hoist. Services, batteries, brakes, diagnostics and a lot of repairs can be done in your driveway or at your work, and when the car will not start we can come and get it going or arrange to get it to the workshop. You get the call-out price before we leave.

What happens when you ring

  2. Step 2. We look and write it down

    We inspect, then you get a quote in writing. Item by item, with what can wait.

  3. Step 3. You say yes

    Nothing gets done without it. If we find something else mid job, we ring before we touch it.

  4. Step 4. Done and explained

    You pay what you agreed to. We show you what we did and what is coming up.

What do people ask about mobile mechanic and breakdowns?

Do you come out after hours or on weekends?

Yes for breakdowns. Breakdown assistance is 24/7, so ring the number at the top of the page and if we can get to you, we will. We tell you the call-out price before we leave.

What areas do you cover?

Whangārei and the surrounding suburbs as standard, and further out by arrangement. If you are in Ruakākā, Hikurangi or out toward the coast, ring and ask. We would rather say yes than have you stranded.

What should I do if I break down?

Get the car as far off the road as you safely can, put the hazard lights on, and stay out of the traffic. Then ring us and tell us where you are and what happened. If it is a motorway or a dangerous spot, ring 111 first.

Can you fix it on the roadside?

Sometimes. Flat batteries, loose connections, a split hose or a fuse we can often sort where you are. Anything needing a hoist or parts comes back to the workshop, and we arrange that for you.

Is a mobile service more expensive?

There is a call-out component, and we tell you the total before we come. For a lot of people the time saved is worth it. For bigger jobs it is usually cheaper to bring the car in.
